Every Tuesday, we’ll profile one of the amazing Phonathon students working in UMBC’s Call Center. This week, say hello to…
What brought you to UMBC? The Meyerhoff Scholars Program and UMBC’s excellence in the sciences.
What is your favorite memory of UMBC so far? It’s of meeting such a diverse group of people from all different backgrounds and parts of the world.
Is there a professor who really inspires you? The energy and passion my professors have really inspires me to be an educator in the future. Two professors whose classes I’ve really enjoyed are Dr. Gierasch, for organic chemistry, and Mr. Becker, who teaches American history.
What is your favorite spot on campus? Apart from my room, the 3rd floor of the library has become my second home.
What activities are you involved in on campus? Muslim Students Association and Undergraduate Research at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, which is funded by UMBC’s Physics Department.
What are your plans after graduation? To enroll in an MD/Ph.D. program or do Teach for America for a few years.
